WHY DO WE NEED TO HALAL FOOD ?Food is a basic need of human life. Without food human health will be affected . Food can supply heat and energy for the purpose of keeping and maintaining body temperature .
It also functions in the respiratory activity and blood flow to all the muscles in the body work and involved the substitution substance in the body ( metabolism ) . In addition , Muslims need food for the purpose of worship to God .
Nutrition can be defined as the science concerned with nutrition , nourishment and nutrients in foods. It is a combination of a process in which organisms take , digest , absorb , transport , use and mengkumuh food for the purpose of manufacturing and repairing components in the body.
Good nutrition activities will allow a person to benefit from the intake of the food. It can regulate the activity of the organs of the body well ( eyes, heart , lungs, etc. ) and allows one to move, walk, run , work , and play .
All these activities are highly dependent on the amount of energy sufficient . The optimum diet are able to supply sufficient nutrients to humans for the purpose of health care , the formation of organs, and will rarely get sick . HALAL FOOD AND Quranic .Muslims need to kosher food . Halal means the use of any food or items that do not contain matters which are prohibited by Islam such as pigs, dogs, wine and so on .
It also must be obtained from a lawful source of income . Kosher food must be good because of all the terms of a lawful nature is good .
Allah says which means : " O mankind , eat the lawful and good ( halalan toyyiba ) of what is on earth , and follow not the footsteps of Satan ;
Because Satan was an avowed enemy unto you " ( Surah al -Baqarah , 2:168 ) . And eat of the lawful and good things which Allah has given you, and fear Allah, that you believe in Him " ( Surah al -Maidah, 5:87-88 ) .
FOOD PHILOSOPHY OF ISLAMIslam is a complete ( total ) . It teaches us in all aspects of life , whether in this world and in the hereafter. In the case of nutrition, Islam has laid down some etiquette should be practiced by mankind as follows :
Eat When Hungry and Stop Before Fullness Word of the Prophet that says: " We are a people who will not eat except when they are hungry and when we do not get too full to eat "(Hadith Reported by Abu Dawud ) .
Choosing The Halal Food Good Again the Prophet said to the effect : "The right of the child to the father of the father shall give a good name , taught him to good manners , teach writing , swimming and archery .

Respect of Others Narrated by al - Bayhaqi , Prophet Muhammad says: "If any of you eat along with the crowd and already feel full , so do not raise their hands ( stop first) , so people just stop (ie stop eating together ), because if you stop before the others, it can be embarrassing your neighbor " .
Wasting no Allah says which means : " Eat and drink and be not extravagant " (Surat al - A'raf, 7:31 ) . Meaning of extravagance here is do not exceed the limits in foods . Food should be based on the needs of the body and make sure it is legitimate .
HALAL FOOD WHY ?The question that may arise is why the people of Allah and the Prophet Muhammad urged Muslims choose halal foods in daily life. Of course, the wisdom and advantages that will help us live life as a servant of Allah better as follows:
Pray that God Granted By The Prophet Muhammad says: " A man is traveling up the hair becomes tangled and her face is filled dust . He raised his hands and prayed to God while his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, illegal pakainnya and mouth fed up with something illegal , how will the application the pleasure ? "(Hadith Muslim, Ahmad & Tirmidhi ) .

Forming Good Meat Blood In The Body Prophet Muhammad says: " Remember that the human body is a piece of meat , when the meat was good , the whole body , and when it breaks down, then the body is diseased , remember that referred to is the heart "(Hadith Bukhari & Muslim) .
As such , it is the duty and responsibility of the Muslims today to be more careful and concerned halal diet-related . We must always strive to ensure that each food and feed derived is lawful in accordance with the laws of God. Surely God 's instructions are for the good of humanity and together .
